Borage oil is obtained by cold pressing of the seeds of borage (Borago officinalis L.). It stands out its wealth in essential fatty acids, necessary for the proper production of prostaglandins, as well as the proper functioning of the body's cells. Regarding to Fatty Acids: 30-40% is linoleic acid, between 18-25% is gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) and 18% oleic acid. Gelatin capsule (104 mg.) and vegetable glycerine (26 mg.). HOW TO USE: RDA: 2 to 4 pearls daily. Directions: take 1 to 2 pearls at lunch and dinner. ACTION FIELD: Borage Oil exerts a slight antiinflammatory effect due to the presence of gamma-linolenic acid. Traditionally, because of its content in essential fatty acids, it has been used for the treatment of premenstrual syndrome, menopause, prevention of atherosclerosis, hypercholesterolemia, pharyngitis, arthritis, ...
